Role: The role of the parenting coordinator is to work with parents to reduce the effects or potential effects of conflict on the parties' child(ren). A parenting coordinator is an impartial provider of parenting coordination services

Facilitation: The Parenting Coordinator is a trained and experienced mediator. As a Parenting Coordinator she may facilitate decision-making between the parents, but she is not serving as a mediator.

Legal Advice: The Parenting Coordinator does not offer legal advice, nor does she provide legal counsel. Each parent is advised to retain his/her own attorney in order to be properly counseled about his/her legal interests, rights and responsibilities
